Centuries prior to his birth, Jesus Christ was described in his foretelling by the Prophet Isaiah. It’s in chapter 53: 3-4 of the Old Testament Book of Isaiah. How could anyone deny the Gospel?
“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.”
The He is the Son of God, who was most unimpressive as a person, but Omnipotent as King and Savior! He knew why he was born a man. He knew that all other men would despise and take his life. He knew for whom he gave his life. He knows of your decision as to accepting or rejecting the Greatest Gift God ever Gave mankind. He weeps for a world, lost and helpless, without Hope for Eternity. Yet, so many continue to despise and reject him. Why is that? Why do so many “Wait”? What everyone is waiting for isn’t pleasant and it’s coming soon. Read about the times in which we live in Chapter 3 of the Gospel of Timothy in the New Testament. Paul describes today, perfectly. We have met the enemy and he is US!
And that’s what I get from My box of chocolates. OH, MY!
