I must have been told, “I can’t sing” numerous times and that proved to be false in many cases. I believe God places a song in each heart, but our human nature is such that it dampens it to silence and that’s a shame. That song is uniquely ours and since the SINister minister has complete control of nature, he can stop our singing it, but that doesn’t have to be the case. My Bible says that “one day every creature will begin to sing. To God “. That tells me that our heart song can be sung when our heart becomes Spirit led. And I believe getting a head start down here will bring hope and joy far exceeding expectation. Lack of music in a person’s life is by choice, not change. Most everyone has experimented with ‘song’ in the shower. If you haven’t done so, you’re in for a real surprise. Shower acoustics are the best! That’s why sound technicians have created that same sound effect digitally. When something is digitally enhanced harmonics add quality. Recording artists have long been benefitted by it. “Echo chamber” makes everything better, but reverberation destroys. In the business of sound production we call it ‘feedback’ and it isn’t good. What you get singing in the shower can be duplicated by a sound technician and it’s a HOOT! The first ‘echo chamber’ was a stairwell. We would place a speaker at one level and a microphone at another and by ‘tweaking’, we got a nicely rounded effect. Today, every shower stall is an ‘echo chamber’ par none. So, give it a shot by singing a song next time you shower. Be prepared for a thrilling surprise. Start out with “Happy Birthday To You” or “Jesus Loves Me”….whatever you choose, it’s the music of your heart that results. (If you want to be technically ‘musical’, try “Do, Re, Mi” from “The Sound of Music”) Personally, I like “Down By The Station”, donchaknow, really!
And that’s what I get from MY box of chocolates. AMEN
