Manning the Bench

For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.”

(Isaiah 33:22)

This verse convinces me that we need a change in our Judicial System. We are in danger of losing our way in justice. No man-made law should supercede God’s Law, ever. We have become arrogant and self-serving over the past decades, losing our way to the Truth.

I propose a limit of terms for all federal offices, just as we have for the Presidency.  It is too easy for legal minds to become a ‘law unto themselves’ if we do not limit the time in office. No elected official should be granted life time tenure. That has become too dangerous to our nation. Stagger terms and limit them to four for all representatives, other than President, including the Supreme Court.  It should be the duty of every licensed attorney to know our Constitution and be required to respect and preserve it. I favor retirement to be limited to 50% of annual salary for all of Congress beginning the tenth year after leaving office.. No one should be made wealthy for serving. No one!  While on the bench, all justices must adhere to God’s Laws, always.

And that’s what I get from MY box of chocolates.  AMEN
