“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.”
This is how the Prophet Isaiah describes My LORD. Artist renderings of Jesus are a bit of a stretch. Actors chosen to portray My Lord are very handsome. Isaiah describes a “Nobody”. Jesus would have made a great secret spy since no one would notice him. When he walked into a room.
It could only have been that way since God is concerned with what’s in a man not how that man looks. We must take that to heart. It’s good to ‘stay in shape’, but all our ‘shapes’ will not last. It’s what we are ‘inside’ that is eternal. Hell will be filled with ‘six-pack ABs’, donchaknow. Really. So, we’ll just have to wait to see Jesus Christ, face to face and that will be Glory for Me!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
And, that’s what I get from MY box of chocolates. AMEN
