Love Seeking Love

s your theme song, “Looking for Love in all the wrong places”? Well, join the crowd! I may take a long time with many wrong choices, but Pastor Adrian Rogers said: “

“Do you know what the Bible is? It is God’s love letter to you. It is God saying to you, “I have set my eye upon you. I love you!”

You’re not saved by doing good works. You’re not saved by joining a church. You are saved by the grace of God that said, “I love you” first.”

I have discovered that “feels right’ is wrong, unless that feeling comes from God.

Perfect Love (Agape) only comes from God and He (and Jesus, since He IS God) can only attain it. So, when Jesus commands us to “Love others”, He is talking about Phileo (brotherly Love). Then there’s Eros, the Love that will get us into trouble. In the Old Testament, God inspired Moses to write:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)  There are those who are only interested in what the New Testament says, but they are probably listening to the Sinister Minister and they are wrong in doing so. There are those who think me arrogant and arbitrary and they are right on when it comes to what the Holy Bible says. I believe it to be totally correct in every way. Man may change the words, but the message is from my Creator, period. I wish all who claim to be “God’s People” would join me in declaring the Truth of Scripture! My daily task is to “Love God and everyone else”, and loving God is easier than the other part, but not if He controls your heart. If that’s the case, then the Holy Spirit will afford the necessary love for everyone, donchaknow. Really. Stop ‘looking’ and start ‘giving’ God’s Love to all you think about or meet. It will make a big difference in ‘everything’. That’s what I get from My Box of Chocolates.  AMEN
