The Ministry of Linda

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” (Matthew 25:45 NIV)

My caregiver has a heart for service. She not only see to my needs and that of LUX and KAYGEE, 7-days-a-week, but does so at two jobs, 6-days-a-week. She has had a dear friend on her mind lately and has attempted to contact her. Finally, she got a phone number and called Sammie, who lived just about 30-minutes away from us. This past Saturday, she took off from her second job, prepared a meal and drove to Sammie’s home. Once she walked in the front door, it was obvious that there had not been a full house-cleaning for some time. Sammie had fallen down stairs (too) and was not hurt badly, but bruised so much that she couldn’t move around. She had pretty much been bed-ridden for days. Linda immediately put Sammie back in the bed, started cleaning the whole house and caring for THREE dogs and Sammie. She arrived there at 10:45 am and returned, worn out, at 6:20pm. She had totally cleaned Sammie’s house and returned exhausted, but blessed, donchaknow. That’s my Linda and just as that of my eldest daughter who cared for her ailing Mother for years, using  ‘God’s Gift’ of service, unselfishly, to make things better for those in need and causing God to Smile!  Too Anointed to be disappointed and Too Blessed to be depressed.  And that’s what I get from My Box of Chocolates.   Reach out and touch, today!  AMEN
