Fill ‘er Up!

We’re driving down the road and checking our gauges, all is well except our tank is about empty. I have been there and recall praying that there be a friendly service stop soon. Rest assured, I made that exit!  Driving down life’s road, it is dangerous to be near empty in ‘Spirit’, but it happens too  often, right?  Paul warned the Church in Ephesus to keep their spiritual tank FULL.

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” – Ephesians 5:18

If we place the word “Sin” in this passage, we get a crushing picture of conflict in spiritual condition.  What if there still be a bit of sin in our lives?  Does that mean that there is danger of “GODLESSNESS”?  Does Paul say that GOD is “All or nothing at all?”  OUCH! That hurts, donchaknow. Maybe this is a good day to sing this little song, “Into my heart, into my heart, come into my heart LORD JESUS! Come in today, come in to stay. Come into my heart, LORD JESUS”.  That’s what I get from My Box of Chocolates.     AMEN
