Bob and Prissy “Z”

They just moved in a few days ago and already have serious medical issues.  She was losing her eyesight and he suffers from gout. Just on Tuesday, she had a stroke and he fell, breaking his hip.  They had just received an offer on their house and were settling in here, when all this happened.  Bob had been an accomplished accompanist for years. His main obligation was to the choral department in Longview Public Schools. Now, they face more difficulty and could use prayers. The most difficult part of Independant Living is losing folks for whom you develop an affection. When I heard of Bob’s accident, I thought of how often I hear the thump of another fall somewhere nearby. My Home Health Nurse asks me, “Have you fallen, lately?”. I can truthfully respond in the negative. I must be one of the lucky ones who do not lose their balance.  It’s enough just to hear it happen, too often. Please keep Bob and Prissy “Z” in your prayers and be kind to one another. That’s what I get from My Box of Chocolates.    AMEN
