It has been my privilege to hold a precious baby in my arms, many times. My own, Martha, Steven, An d’Lis and Jeanlizabeth. Their children, Kimberly, Ilysa, Jordan, Jason, Trammel, Quincy and the Twins: Austin and Marilyn. I never had the joy of holding Melanie as an infant, but did her Seth and Sarabeth, both are also a special gift from GOD. Today is Melanie’s birthday. From the age of five, I have watched this fine young mother grow to be a grand lady, wife and mother. All my children are quality parents who honor and respect the miracle of birth. They have been taught to do so. Sanctity of Life should never be subject to Political Correctness. I have included Scripture from Psalms 139. Of course, should one not believe the Holy Bible to be the inerrant Word of GOD, inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT, then the following passage is “subject to interpretation”. The taking of a life is a decision with consequences and even though we have determined to legalize abortion by arguing as to when an embryo is a person, here is what GOD inspired the Psalmist to write:
“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.”
This passage from the Message is easy to understand. Regardless of the translation, the words of the LORD are very clear. “Before” we were formed, WE WERE! We were formed for a purpose and each unborn is totally at the mercy of the abusive misuse of “Free Will”. I believe that should that unborn be taken in miscarriage, it is the Purpose and the Will of GOD and even though it is a very painful time for the parents, GOD has the power to provide the necessary strength to overcome the pain of loss. Isn’t it interesting that we mourn for a miscarriage, yet accept ‘freedom of choice’? This is my own opinion and under no circumstance do I fault that of another for that’s what ‘free will’ is all about. I am blessed that I have held my ‘little babes’ and watched them and the Happy Birthday Lady grow in the way of the LORD. Happy Birthday, Melanie. I love you!
And that’s what I get from My Box of Chocolates, donchaknow. JESUS and I Love YOU! AMEN
Yes,Happy Birthday to Melanie and Happy 55th Anniversary to Judy and Sonny B….(goin for at least 20 + more, they been God Livened.
