You see your teens walk out of the house. Do You Know what happens after that? You give keys to the car to your 16-year-old. Do You Know what happens after that? You hug your freshman college student and walk away from their dorm. Do You Know what happens after that? You walk down the aisle and give your daughter away or sit in your assigned seat and watch your son share rings. Do You Know what happens after that? Most likely, when things go wrong will you get a hint, otherwise you can only pray. We live in a time when law enforcement is out in mass on the lookout for pedophiles as our children ‘trick or treat’. (I would like news media to not go into detail in order for the police to catch them, rather than warm them). I see children accompanied by adults in our neighborhood and that’s the only way they can ‘know’. Up until the age of realization of the intelligence of parents, young men and women simply want freedom to choose. As a parent, there are situations where our only hope and peace comes through lifting them in prayer. Once we have done the best we can as Christian parents, the rest is up to GOD’s “GUARDOL”*, donchaknow. It’s not an easy and comforting position to be in, but what else can we do, but pray?” Amen?
